Two computers, each with a Bluetooth adapter for PC that have the Personal Area Networking Profile (PAN) can share files and other data without being connected to a network when paired with each other. An adapter with a Fax Profile (FAX) will enable the computer to send a fax via a Bluetooth mobile phone. Most, if not all, Bluetooth adapters support file transfer between devices.
A Bluetooth adapter for PC, when connected to a desktop computer, or an older laptop without its own Bluetooth adapter, will expand the host computer’s functionality and improve connectivity with other modern gadgets.
